Games and apps like Dead Rising 3, Madden 25, Battlefield 4, Just Dance 2014, Internet Explorer, and Machinima feature a SmartGlass Companion on Day 1.

Microsoft has just released an updated version of Xbox One SmartGlass for Windows 8.1, the fresh build of the app that was specifically designed to work with Microsoft's Xbox One gaming console.
According to the official release notes provided to us this morning, this new version of Xbox One SmartGlass comes with notifications displayed every time you get new messages, but also with options to let you see who's online and the games that your friends are playing.
The friends section is now coming with a new activity feed, while the Xbox One connectivity issues are now addressed with a revamped help section.
The feature lineup remains unchanged, so you get the same options to navigate your Xbox One console using either a keyboard or touch, as well as controls for your media.
